Focus on... Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships are the proven way to train your workforce, providing the practical skills and qualifications your organisation needs now and in the future. Over 130,000 companies have recruited an Apprentice because they understand the benefits this brings, delivering a real return to your bottom line. Apprenticeships are work based training programmes designed around the needs of the employer, which helps businesses across all sectors to harness fresh new talent. Apprenticeships are a fantastic opportunity for your new and existing members of staff across all age groups.

An Apprenticeship includes the following components:
  • A knowledge based element
  • A competence based element
  • Transferable or ‘key skills’
  • A module on employment rights and responsibilities

An apprentice’s duties depend on the requirements of the sector that they choose to work in, as well as on the specific needs of the employer. It is likely that apprentices will be working with a team or member of staff to handle various tasks.

Why recruit an Apprentice?
  • Gain a highly motivated and loyal workforce
  • Increase productivity
  • Remain competitive
  • Reduce training costs
